Meet Penelope.

Penelope is a highly interactive therapist dedicated to providing focused, research-backed interventions for trauma, anxiety, depression and life transitions. With a background in the arts and over a decade of post-graduate training in many research-proven modalities, Penelope is able to employ both creativity and specific tools in her work, curating a treatment plan with her clients that best fits their unique needs.

Penelope has been in practice for over a decade and has trained under some of the industry's leading experts on trauma treatment. Prior to founding her own practice, she served as Director of Trauma Treatment at the Child and Family Institute, and as a staff therapist at the Center for Traumatic Stress at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was supervised by Drs. Judith Cohen and Anthony Mannarino, the developers of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Penelope's practice offers evidence-based approaches to trauma, depression, and anxiety. She is a certified provider of EMDR, TF-CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She employs humor, creativity, and level-headedness in her work with teens, adults, and the LGBTQ+ community. Sessions can be a highly structured experience with specific goals and research-backed skills taught, as well as a space for clients to explore at their own pace.

Penelope provides in-person sessions in New York City and Westchester County, and remote sessions for clients based in New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Texas.
